I went through a textbook crisis today. I always buy my books through Amazon rather than the bookstore just because they’re usually cheaper. But alas, this time my sweet Amazon failed me when my order was randomly cancelled. So looking for a temporary fix for my upcoming quizzes to study for, I turned to good ol’ Mary Couts Burnett Library. There, buried in the deep stacks of the Dewey Decimal System, I found just what I needed.
But the good news didn’t end there. Next I took my books up to the check out counter, where the librarian blesses me with the words, “These are due back April 22.” Aprill 22nd? That’s just a week before school lets out! Turns out that because I am an Honors student I get graduate level check out. That means I can keep the library’s textbooks for pretty much the whole semester and save around $300. Thanks John V. Roach!
With the JVR, the perks just keep on coming!
