Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Oh My!

Cultural Routes Flyer

Today, 14 JVR freshmen are sitting in their classrooms, watching the rainy skies, wishing they were 5,000 miles away.

Okay, so there might be more than 14, but the 14 I’m thinking of are this year’s Cultural Routes members, for whom this dream will become a reality in just a few months.

This year’s Cultural Routes trip is the fourth of its kind, led by JVR’s own Dr. Pitcock. It’s a trip that takes 3 weeks, traveling through Berlin, Munich, Interlaken, Cinque Terra, Florence, and Rome. We had our first meeting last night, and I for one was ready to pack my bags and fly out today.

Though we have an entire semester between us and the trip of our lives, it will be full of preparations, planning, and a lot of anticipation for May 17. I want to echo my fellow blogger Katherine’s thank you to the JVR Honors College for this amazing opportunity. And to my fellow travelers, get excited, because it’s going to be a heck of a trip!
