Hometown: Miscellaneous Air Force Base(s).
Double Major: Writing and Modern Language Studies: French; Japanese.
What I want to do with my major: Almost everything.
Campus involvement: French/German Clubs, Student Filmmakers Association, Triathlon Club, Chancellor’s Leadership Program, JVR (duh).
Why I chose TCU: It’s the perfect size for me: not too big, not too small. And there’s good ol’ JVR, of course.
Why I’m glad I joined the JVR: The academic side is great, the events and student-faculty relationships are nice, but the community is what keeps me coming back.
Favorite Honors class: It’s a tossup between Alex Lemon’s Poetry Workshop I and Languages & Identities: Cultures & Subcultures.
Favorite place on TCU’s Campus: The little grass patch in the middle of the Tom Brown Pete Wright Apartments… picnic paradise.
Favorite JVR memory: Rambling around Western Europe with Dr. Pitcock & the Gang during the Cultural Routes honors abroad trip.
Coolest TCU or JVR experience: Being confined to my writing-cave for two months straight, winning the Sandra D. Brown Excellence in Literary Fiction Scholarship.
Favorite TV show and why: Any pulpy Disco-channel documentary. Why not?
Three unusual things about myself: Um. I speak a few languages. I’m passionate about poetry. And I’m a vegetarian.
