What I want to do with my major: Work as a pediatric oncology nurse at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Campus involvement: At TCU, I’m a member of the Honors College, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, the Student Nurse Association, TCU Ambassadors, and I hold an on campus job.

Why I chose TCU: Do you believe in love at first sight? I didn’t, until I saw TCU and heard about the amazing programs here. The nursing school has an excellent reputation, and the Honors College provides such great opportunities. Plus, who doesn’t love purple scrubs?!

Why I’m glad I joined the JVR: The personal attention I get in the Honors College is amazing. If I ever need help with anything, honors is there to get me through it! I’ve also loved getting to live with other students with the same academic interests and drive as me.

Favorite Honors class: Survey of Professional Nursing

Favorite place on TCU’s Campus: The Honors Office! I love being able to go in and talk about school, and life in general with the professors and staff, as well as others honors students.

Favorite JVR memory: I was lucky enough to attend Frog Camp Rome! The first day there, I got to walk around the city with my new friends and our professor for an afternoon adventure. Some say we got lost, other’s say we explored. I’ll leave that up to you!

Coolest TCU or JVR experience: While in Rome, we got to go underneath and above the Coliseum where the regular tours don’t go. The history we learned while under was amazing!

Favorite TV show and why: I am a HUGE Grey’s Anatomy fan! Even though the story lines can be pretty out there, it combines my two favorite things- medicine and love stories!

Three unusual things about myself:

1. I’m a HUGE mock trial nerd. I got to tap in to my inner Elle Woods my senior year and win “outstanding attorney” for my team.

2. I don’t eat cheese. I don’t know why, I just don’t.

3. I split my chin open twice in one month when I was five. Both times on a Thursday. To this day, I take extra precautions on Thursdays.
